What is KiWi Vault?

Accessing Your Vault
- 1Open the app to see the lock screen
- 2Enter your PIN, Password, or Pattern
- 3Or use Biometric (fingerprint/face) if enabled
- 4Successfully unlock to access your vault
- 5Switch between lock types in Manage Locks
Hiding Photos & Videos
- 1Select Photos or Videos category in vault
- 2Tap the + button to add new files
- 3Choose files from your gallery
- 4Files are encrypted automatically
- 5Original files removed from gallery
- 6Fast thumbnail generation for quick viewing
Documents & Audio
- PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, presentations
- Text files and any document type
- Voice recordings and music files
- Audio messages and sound files
- Same military-grade encryption as photos
Private Notes
- Store passwords and credentials safely
- Keep personal journal entries private

Vault-to-Vault Sharing
How it works:
- Share files securely between KiWi Vault apps
- Direct P2P connection — no cloud, no internet needed
- Both devices must have KiWi Vault installed
- Devices must be near each other (Bluetooth/WiFi range)
- Files transferred with end-to-end encryption
- Received files automatically added to your vault
Sending
Select files → Choose receiver → Transfer
Receiving
Tap Receive → Wait for sender → Accept
Verify connection code on both devices for security

Recently Deleted
- Deleted items go to Recently Deleted — not gone instantly
- Items stay for 30 days before permanent removal
- Recover items anytime within 30 days
- Open Recently Deleted → Select → Restore
Favorites
- Tap the star icon on any media item
- Starred items appear in the Favorites section
- Quick access to important files
- Works across all media types
Customization
- Multiple color themes available
- Change app icon for extra privacy (Themes, icons, fonts & dark mode)
- Choose your preferred font style
- Dark/Light mode support
Managing Your Locks
- Change PIN/Password/Pattern anytime
- Enable or disable Biometric unlock
- Set up backup authentication methods
- Configure security questions for recovery
- Access via Menu → Manage Locks
- Clock Lock — Set your PIN as a time; the clock IS the lock
- Calculator Lock — Disguise vault as a calculator; type PIN and press = to unlock
Password Recovery
- 1Set up Security Questions during initial setup
- 2Use "Forgot Password" if locked out
- 3Answer security questions correctly
- 4Reset your vault access code
