Terms of Use for Lafz

1. Agreement and Scope

These Terms of Use govern your use of Lafz, the Urdu word puzzle and reading application provided by Nascentra Labs. Please read them before using the application. By using Lafz, you agree to these terms to the extent an agreement is formed under applicable law. If you do not agree, you should stop using the application and remove it from your device. The terms address the current consumer experience, associated content, and support we provide; they do not promise services that have not been released. Our Privacy Policy separately explains information handling. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections or turns acceptance of a contract into consent for unrelated personal-data processing.

2. Eligibility and Responsible Adult Involvement

You may use Lafz if you are legally permitted to do so in your location and can enter into this agreement, or have the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian where required. Follow any applicable age rating and access restrictions shown by Google Play. If you permit a minor to use your device, you are responsible for making appropriate decisions about access, reading material, reminders, sharing, and the services available on that device. Lafz does not require an age profile or identity document for ordinary use. These terms do not authorize a child to bypass a platform’s age requirements, create an account with an external service unlawfully, or provide personal information where parental consent is required.

3. Nature of the Application

Lafz is intended for enjoyment, informal vocabulary learning, and exploration of Urdu words and literature. Its available features include daily puzzles, practice, word meanings, reading material, saved items, and optional reminders and sharing. The exact experience may vary with the installed version, device compatibility, language choices, and platform availability. Descriptions on our product page summarize the current offering and are not a guarantee that every feature will operate identically on every device. Lafz is not a certification program, a formal examination service, or an authoritative source for decisions requiring verified translations. You remain free to use only the available features that suit your interests and needs.

4. Current Free Offering and No Subscriptions

Lafz is currently free to use. The current application has no subscriptions, recurring charges, paid trials, in-app purchases, or paid feature unlocks. It does not require payment details to play, read, save items, or use the available settings, and it does not display advertisements. Installing or continuing to use this version does not authorize Nascentra Labs to charge you later or enroll you automatically in a payment plan. Ordinary charges imposed by your mobile operator, internet provider, or another service you independently choose remain your responsibility. Any future optional paid offering would require clear advance information and a separate, affirmative choice; these terms do not establish such an offering or promise that every future release will always be free.

5. Distribution and Google Play Availability

Obtain Lafz through an official distribution channel identified by Nascentra Labs. The product page may link to its Google Play listing before that listing is publicly available, and a coming-soon notice does not guarantee a release date, store approval, or availability in a particular country. Once released, installation and updates remain subject to Google Play’s requirements and your device’s eligibility. We cannot guarantee that a store will continue to distribute a particular version indefinitely. A store account is separate from a Lafz account, and Lafz does not require its own registration. If an unofficial website asks for payment or credentials to unlock the current free application, verify the source with us before providing anything.

6. Limited License to Use Lafz

Subject to these terms and applicable law, Nascentra Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to install and use an authorized copy of Lafz on compatible devices that you own or are permitted to use. The license allows ordinary personal play, reading, and use of the application’s provided sharing features. It does not transfer ownership of the application, its brand, or materials protected by intellectual property rights. Rights not expressly granted remain with Nascentra Labs or the relevant rights holder. Your use of any separately licensed material is also subject to its applicable license. This agreement does not restrict rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, including any permissions expressly granted by an applicable open-source license.

7. Lawful and Acceptable Use

Use Lafz and its support channels lawfully and with respect for other people’s rights. Do not use the application or shared material to impersonate another person, harass someone, distribute unlawful content, infringe intellectual property, or misrepresent your relationship with Nascentra Labs. You must not use support communications to transmit malicious files, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt services used by other people. Your responsibility extends to the destination and audience you choose when sharing a result or reading card. An application feature does not grant permission to ignore another service’s rules or applicable law. These obligations apply to misuse; they do not prohibit good-faith criticism, ordinary personal sharing, or lawful reporting of a problem.

8. Software Integrity and Restricted Activities

You must not redistribute unauthorized copies of Lafz, remove legally required notices, present a modified application as an official release, or use the application to gain unauthorized access to systems or information. You must not copy protected elements to create a competing product in a manner that infringes applicable rights. Reverse engineering, decompilation, circumvention, and modification are restricted only to the extent permitted by applicable law and any relevant component license; statutory exceptions remain available. If you discover a security or reliability issue, you may report it privately with enough detail to help us assess it. Reporting an issue does not require publishing private user information or distributing a modified package to other users.

9. Device Compatibility and Operating Conditions

You are responsible for using a compatible device, maintaining adequate storage, and managing your operating-system settings. Display characteristics, font rendering, sound, vibration, battery restrictions, and notification delivery can vary between devices. Core play and reading work offline after installation, while store operations, external links, support communications, and some sharing destinations may require connectivity. A device restart, an operating-system change, incorrect time settings, or restricted background activity can affect features. We aim to address reproducible problems but do not guarantee operation on every device or modified system. Keep your device protected and review the installed version when contacting support so that we can understand the circumstances.

10. Daily Puzzles, Practice, and Progress

Daily puzzles, practice sessions, streaks, and statistics are provided for personal enjoyment. Their availability and presentation may depend on the installed content, your local date and time settings, and retained application data. A missed day, device change, software problem, or loss of local storage can affect a streak or recorded result. These records have no cash value and are not a promise of a prize, ranking, qualification, or entitlement to compensation. We do not guarantee that a lost streak or completed game can be reconstructed. Please avoid manipulating shared results to mislead others about an official competition or endorsement; Lafz’s ordinary progress displays are personal activity records, not independently certified achievements.

11. Meanings, Translations, and Educational Limits

Word meanings, pronunciations, transliterations, translations, and explanatory notes are provided to support informal learning and appreciation. Language changes across regions, periods, and contexts, and a brief explanation cannot include every possible meaning or interpretation. Material may contain omissions, typographical errors, disputed attributions, or interpretations with which knowledgeable readers disagree. You should consult suitable authoritative references for academic publication, formal translation, or another use requiring verified accuracy. Lafz does not promise a particular learning outcome or professional qualification. We welcome specific corrections through support, including the word or passage involved and a concise explanation, without requiring you to send unrelated personal information.

12. Literary Material and Cultural Context

Classical verse and related reading material can reflect the language, beliefs, imagery, and social conventions of their historical setting. Inclusion of a passage does not mean Nascentra Labs endorses every opinion, interpretation, or theme expressed in it. Translations and notes are intended to help readers engage with the material and may reasonably differ from other editions. Readers and guardians should decide whether particular content is appropriate for their circumstances. If you identify material that appears incorrectly attributed, unlawfully included, or unsuitable for the application’s stated audience, contact us with enough detail to locate it. We may review, correct, restrict, or remove material without guaranteeing that every request will result in the requested change.

13. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Rights

The Lafz name, branding, original presentation, software, and original materials are protected to the extent recognized by applicable intellectual property law. Other included material may belong to its respective rights holders, be available under a separate license, or be in the public domain in a relevant jurisdiction. We do not claim exclusive ownership of the Urdu language, facts, or material that is lawfully in the public domain. Credits and applicable third-party notices remain relevant to those materials. These terms do not authorize bulk extraction or republication of protected collections, translations, or original commentary. Before reusing content beyond ordinary app use and built-in sharing, determine whether permission or compliance with a separate license is required.

Lafz’s sharing features let you prepare selected results, words, or verses for a destination you choose. You are responsible for reviewing the material, selecting an appropriate audience, and complying with the destination’s rules. Sharing a card does not transfer ownership of the underlying content or grant permission for unrelated commercial reuse. If you send feedback, corrections, or an issue report to Nascentra Labs, you retain rights you hold in your original contribution while allowing us to review it and use the relevant suggestion to maintain or improve Lafz. We do not require confidential business information in feedback. Personal information in correspondence is handled under the Privacy Policy, and sending feedback does not guarantee payment, attribution, or implementation.

15. Local Data, Backups, and Recovery

Progress, settings, saved items, and reading history are stored on your device. Device backup and transfer services may copy or restore that information according to your settings, but Nascentra Labs does not provide a Lafz cloud account or guaranteed recovery service. Clearing storage, uninstalling, changing devices, or experiencing device failure may remove data. Before taking such actions, consider what you want to retain and what your device’s backup service actually supports. We cannot promise that a backup is complete, current, or compatible with every later version. Material you previously shared may remain with the recipient, and clearing local data does not remove those copies. The Privacy Policy explains the separate controls for history, storage, and support information.

16. Reminders, Preferences, and Accessibility Choices

Reminders, appearance settings, meaning-language choices, sounds, and vibration are intended to let you adjust Lafz to your preferences. Notifications are optional and depend on your permission, Android settings, and device behavior. Delivery may be delayed or prevented by battery controls, a disabled notification channel, or other operating conditions, so reminders must not be relied on for time-critical responsibilities. You may disable them without losing ordinary access to play and reading. The availability of visual and interaction options does not guarantee that the application meets every user’s accessibility needs. If a setting or display creates difficulty, contact support with a description so we can assess the issue and explain any available alternatives.

17. Privacy and Control of Personal Information

Our Privacy Policy describes local information, optional sharing, device backups, Google Play interactions, support communications, and available privacy choices. Please review it alongside these terms. Nascentra Labs does not acquire ownership of your personal information because you use Lafz, and this agreement does not require you to consent to unrelated advertising or profiling. You can manage local history and permissions using the controls described in the policy, and contact us about information we actually hold. A request to Nascentra Labs cannot directly erase a device backup or a post held by another provider. Nothing in these terms limits privacy rights, complaint procedures, or other protections that applicable law makes available to you.

18. External Services, Reviews, and Links

Google Play, device backup providers, messaging applications, and websites opened from Lafz are operated separately from Nascentra Labs. Their services may require accounts, network access, or agreement to their own terms. An external link or review prompt does not mean we control the provider, guarantee its availability, or endorse everything it displays. You may choose whether to submit a rating or review, and a positive review is not a condition of using the current free application. Your relationship with Google Play continues to be governed by the terms applicable to that platform. If an external service fails, Lafz’s related convenience feature may be unavailable even when the core offline experience continues to operate.

19. Updates, Changes, and Service Availability

We may release updates to correct errors, improve usability, revise content, address security concerns, or respond to platform requirements. Features and compatibility can change, and some updates may require action through Google Play. We do not guarantee an update schedule, uninterrupted availability of every external service, or indefinite support for every earlier version. Where a material change affects users, we will provide appropriate information and respect applicable legal obligations. The current free offering does not authorize automatic future charges. If Lafz is discontinued, an installed copy may continue to work to the extent its local functions and your device permit, but future updates, support, or compatibility cannot be assumed.

20. Warranty Position and Mandatory Protections

We aim to provide a useful and dependable application, but Lafz may contain errors, incomplete explanations, or compatibility limitations. To the extent permitted by applicable law, it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without an additional promise that it will be error-free, continuously available, or suitable for every particular purpose. This wording does not exclude a warranty, guarantee, remedy, or standard of care that the law requires and does not allow us to exclude. Specific commitments we make that are legally binding remain enforceable. Use appropriate independent judgment when relying on reading material or managing local information, and report reproducible issues so that we can assess whether a correction is appropriate.

21. Responsibility and Limits of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Nascentra Labs is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Lafz, including lost business opportunities or losses caused by independent services outside our reasonable control. Responsibility for a particular claim depends on the facts and the legal protections that apply to you. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. The fact that Lafz is currently free does not automatically reduce a legally required remedy to zero. You should take reasonable steps to protect your device and reduce avoidable loss, while retaining all non-excludable rights.

22. Ending Use and Breach of Terms

You may stop using Lafz at any time and uninstall it without canceling a subscription or paying a termination fee, because the current offering has neither. If you materially misuse the application or breach these terms, we may terminate the permission granted by this agreement to the extent permitted by law. Where practicable and appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue; urgent action may be necessary for serious unlawful conduct or security concerns. Ending the license does not imply that we can remotely inspect or erase your local data. Provisions concerning ownership, lawful responsibility, and dispute resolution continue only as needed for their purpose, and applicable rights concerning personal information remain unaffected.

23. Applicable Law, Disputes, and General Provisions

These terms apply subject to the laws that govern your relationship with Nascentra Labs, including mandatory consumer protections available in your place of residence. Please contact us first if a concern can be resolved through support, but doing so is not a condition that prevents you from using a statutory complaint procedure, approaching a regulator, or seeking relief from a competent court. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive lawful collective remedies. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent legally possible. A failure to enforce a provision once does not waive it permanently. These terms govern Lafz use alongside applicable third-party licenses and any separate agreement we expressly make with you.

24. Changes to Terms and Contact Information

We may revise these terms to reflect changes to Lafz, its distribution, or applicable requirements. The effective date identifies the published version, and material changes will be brought to users’ attention in an appropriate way, with any additional agreement obtained where required. Changes do not retroactively authorize charges or remove rights that have already arisen under applicable law.
