Welcome to Noteclave ("Service," "App"), developed by Nascentra Labs ("we," "us," "our"). At Nascentra Labs, we believe privacy is a fundamental human right. This belief is the cornerstone of Noteclave, which has been engineered from the ground up as a private, secure, and user-controlled environment for your personal information.

This Privacy Policy is our pact with you. It explains in detail what information is—and, more importantly, is not—processed by our App.

Our core promise is absolute: Your personal content (notes and all data you create) is yours and yours alone. It is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us, or any third party. We cannot see it, and we do not want to.

By using Noteclave, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

2. Our Core Principle: 100% Offline and User-Controlled

Noteclave is built on a fully offline architecture. You are the sole steward of your data.

  • Offline-Only Storage: All personal content you create in Noteclave (such as notes, reminders, and folders) resides exclusively within the application's secure container on your personal device.
  • No Servers, No Cloud, No Sync: We do not operate any servers that store, sync, or process your personal content. The app does not include any features for cloud sync or online backup.
  • No Data Collection: We do not collect, track, or analyze any of your personal content or how you use the app. There are no analytics, trackers, or advertising libraries in this app.

3. Information We Process (And What We Don't)

To be fully transparent, here is a breakdown of the data the App handles.

a) Information You Provide (Your Content)

This is the data you create and manage, such as notes, reminders, and folders. As per our core principle, this data is stored only on your device in a private, local database. It is never transmitted to us or any third party.

b) Information for In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

If you choose to purchase NoteClave Premium (as a subscription or a one-time purchase), the transaction is processed securely and entirely by the Google Play Store.

  • We Do Not See Your Financial Information: We do not collect, receive, or store any of your payment information, such as credit card numbers. This is handled by Google.
  • We Only Receive Purchase Validation: We only receive a non-identifiable transaction confirmation token from Google to verify your purchase status and unlock the premium features in the app.

4. How Your Data is Secured on Your Device

  • Local Storage: Your notes are stored in a private, local database on your device, protected by the security features of your mobile operating system.
  • No Automatic Backups: The app is configured to opt-out of Android's automatic cloud backup service. Your data will not be automatically backed up to Google Drive, ensuring it remains only on your physical device.

5. How We Use Device Capabilities

Our philosophy is to request the absolute minimum access necessary for the app to function. Our app does not request, access, or use any high-risk information or sensors on your device. We never access your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or your device's personal files and photos (external storage).

To provide our core features, the app does require access to two specific functions:

  • Internet Access: The app requires an internet connection for one reason and one reason only: to securely communicate with the Google Play Store. This is necessary to process new purchases of NoteClave Premium and to verify your existing purchase status (for both subscriptions and one-time purchases). No other data, and absolutely none of your personal content, is ever sent over the internet.
  • Notification Capabilities: To deliver the Reminders feature, the app needs the ability to post notifications to your device. This capability is used exclusively to show you the reminders that you have personally created at the time you have set. We do not use notifications for marketing or any other purpose.

6. Data Sharing with Third Parties

This is simple: We do not share any of your data, because we do not collect it.

Your personal content (notes) never leaves your device. The only communication the app makes is with Google Play for the sole purpose of validating purchases, as described in Section 3b.

7. Your Data Rights and Choices

Because your personal content resides 100% on your device, you have complete and total control over it.

  • Your Rights: You have the right to access, edit, and delete your data at any time directly within the app.
  • Data Deletion: You can delete your data at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app will permanently and irreversibly erase all of its data from your device.
  • Data Portability: As your data is stored locally, you are in full control of it. We do not offer data import/export features at this time.

8. Children's Privacy

Noteclave is designed as a general-purpose note-taking and reminder application. Our offline-only approach means we do not collect any personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13.

  • No Information Collected: As outlined above, we do not collect any personal content, and the only information processed is a non-identifiable purchase validation token (if you purchase Premium) which is handled entirely by Google.
  • Parental Awareness: Parents are encouraged to monitor their children's device usage and to explain that the app should be used responsibly.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

As Noteclave evolves, we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app's functionality. Any material changes will be clearly communicated, and the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy will be changed. By continuing to use Noteclave after the policy has been updated, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and accept the changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
